Natural Wonders Await in Telluride

Cycle the San Juan Mountains

The San Juan Mountains provide a variety of terrain for riders of every skill level and ability. Choose from the aptly named “Penelope’s Cruise,” one of the area’s best beginner rides, to more challenging trails that explore old mining roads and basins, winding through colorful wildflower meadows and thick aspen groves high above the box canyon.

Every spring, Telluride’s substantial snowpack gives way to trickling streams and free-flowing rivers. We have expert-guided rafting trips for every skill level and ability, from those that wind through gentle Class II-III sections of Specie Creek, to the action-packed Class IV-V runs of the Dolores River’s notorious Snaggletooth Rapid.
- Excursions run from late May through June. Please be aware, this experience is subject to change due to water levels
- Half-day and full-day tours available
- Rafting season typically begins early May and can last into August
