Head 5 minutes north or south of Surf Shack to reach a couple of our favorite surf spots on the Big Island. Before paddling out, experiment with weight distribution, practice a few pop ups and learn the difference between regular and goofy-footed surfing. Once you're ready to find your spot in the line-up, paddle to the outside with our Kainalu Pros, who will help you catch the first of many waves to come.
